The Music Club of Baton Rouge
Our 116th Season!
The Music Club of Baton Rouge:
• Was founded in 1909
• Was certified as a 501(c)(3) public charity in 1983
• Has more than 160 members
• Mission is, “To encourage and support the study and performance of music in the greater Baton Rouge area”
• Active members and guest performers present recital programs and study programs 10 months of the year at First United Methodist Church in downtown Baton Rouge
• Annually funds $26,000 in scholarships for 12 deserving students in the LSU School of Music and 1 scholarship for a local high school student’s organ music study
• Presents recital programs and study programs 10 months of the year at First United Methodist Church in downtown Baton Rouge
• Distributes a monthly newsletter to its membership and a large outreach group.

Is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs that is chartered by the Congress of the United States and is the only music organization that is a member of the United Nations
